cat hasnt used litter box, barely eats cant walk, in pain to be moved

my cat has recently stopped using the washroom, 24 hours to be exact, i had picked her up the propper way, (one hand behind her front legs, the other behind her hind legs) se seemed to howl and almost growl i suppose in pain, this is very unlike her, also she has been sleeping for about the same amount of time, if and when she does make a movement to get off the couch she moves very slowly and carefuly having a hard time stepping over a peice of blanket and is very wobbly when standing, then instead of getting  off the couch she will lay back down as if it would hurt to much to jump down, she woulnt get up to eat or drink either, she has been eating some soft food and a few cat treats but only when i bring them to her, a little water when promted, also we did bring a kitten home almost 3 weeks ago, she didnt like the kitten much to say the least and had no problem showing it by ignoring and growling at my fiance and i, though since then they have completely bonded and sleep together often, the reason i say this is bc i had suspected maybe the stress got to her, ive checked her ears and skin colour and have found no yellowing so i dont think her liver is shutting down but i cant escape the feeling that it is something internal at the very least, also since then i had noticed our kitten as a small bit of blood in her stool, ive kept an eye on her since and it was only the once, ive not found any trace of worms and am very concerned for my girls, is there anything that i can do? we dont have very much money do to just moving into our own place and a few unexpected events, but my girls mean everything to me and i want an honest flat answer, to many vets seem to sugar coat problems making them seem less severe, please give me any answer you think may help

The vet did a basic check up as well as take her temperature (was not a happy camper lol), she did give her a vaccine (.5 convenia injection) and dexamethasone for her fever based on her symptoms, she said bc she emptied her bladder she is just going to give her the vaccine to get rid of her infection, I'm to call her on Monday with updates as to how she's doing, the vet checked her tummy and said that she has no stool bc she was metabolising what she ate so fast due to her high fever, and she did poop ( also in the car on the way back), since then she has perked right up, amazingly she is almost completely back to her old self, like I said tho, a bit stiff still from not moving much for that long period of time

well thats great news she went pee.....did the Vet do an actual culture to confirm an infection or did he just do a PH sample and detect crystals?....at least this is treatable and yes good news.
I assume he put her on an antibiotic as well?    and what about no bowel movements what was the dx there??

Hello everyone :) I have great news, well as far as news goes in this sense, it turns out she just had an infection and a high fever, on the way to the vets the she went pee, I'm thinking from the car ride (she hates riding in cars) as well as looped and is making a full recovery, she's grooming herself as I speak and quickly getting on her feet, she's still a little stiff but that is to be expected, thank you all so much for your help and get wells, it still surprises me that their are many good people out there :)

Also as to what maaskant asked, I'm afraid I don't think either are up to date on shots, nala has been with my mother up until last month sometime, she took very good care of her but job the ways of shots I don't think she's had her latest, does anyone know how much they are by chance?, I'm gonna do everything in my power to get enough money to get her well, I'm just worried it woulnt be enough

I took her collar off lastnight and she seemed to move a bit more, I'm not sure if it was bc of the colar or bc she wanted to be near to me though, when I laid in bed it took her some time but managed to get into the bedroom from the living room and onto the bed, mind you she's had the collar on for about 3 or so weeks and we hadn't noticed any problems at all until the night before last , thank you for your concerns though I hope as well the vet will shed some light on this, I'm scared to move her though, if I even start to lift her she cries, how am I suppose to get her to the vets without hurting her, anyone have any ideas as to the least painful way to transport her to the vets?

I will respond more soon, glad you are taking her to a Vet asap....and please take that flea collar OFF....it could be contributing to her not being well, this is a pesticide hanging around her neck and many cats do have reactions...please remove the collar....good luck, let us know what the Vet says okay -)

Thank you, we are going to take her to the vets today, the kitten is just hitting 13 weeks, we got her from friends of ours who had a litter, the kitten I believe as worms, due to her poached out tummy, were gonna bring her into the vets as well, ive gotten our older cat (nala) to eat and drink as well but its only when I bring it to her, she was moving around a bit ago but only for a few then she would rest and go again, she made it up onto our bed but had a bit of difficulty, I had heard something about her per being crystalized what exactly does that mean, I was told it can happen from her food being changed to a lower grade then she is used to, we had changed her food but I had mixed it in gradually with her usual, other then that nothing has changed since the kitten has been her, and yes it is very good they are getting along :) intact their snuggled together now :) ive been keeping an eye on nala's breathing and it isn't laboured or abnormal from what I can tell, she is an older cat but I can help but think its not old age due to it coming on so quickly, oh there actually was one change, web we baught the kitten home we had found out she had flees *sigh, that was a joy* we got rid of them by rating the kitten daily and vacuuming like mad people, also by putting a flea colar on bot cats, nala has never worn a flea colar that I'm sure of, thanks for your suggestions guys I hope the vet can figure this out

I'm afraid abt the only thing you can do for your kitty is take her to a vet...when cats don't eat for even a short amount of time they go into 'fatty liver disease' or Hepatic Lipidosis and their internal organs begin to shut down....a Vet needs to find out WHY she has stopped eating/drinking. she could possibly be in pain due to a bladder infection (UTI) or be very backed up with constipation...but it is obvious she is suffering and needs help..there is no home treatments I can suggest until you have a diagnosis. Please help her

the kitten that you brought in how old is that kitten and where did you get it from.  are both cats up on all their shots?  have you changed their food at all recently or started giving the older cat anything that you didnt before you got the new kitten?

the fact that the older cat didnt like the kitten at first is quite normal.  the older cat saw the new cat as intruding on her space and she was upset with you and your fiance because your the one who brought the new kitten in.  the fact that they are getting along now is good.

Also she is about 7-8 yrs old, not sure her weight, have checked her stool and their is no blood or oddness, I'm starting to get really worried, ive tried to make her comfortable and hydrated but I can't seem to get we to bounce back at all, I tried to play with her with a laser pointer, she watched it and tried to paw at it a bit so I know she wants to play but she seems to be unable to I'm assuming bc of the pain so I'm Pretty sure she isn't depressed or whatnot, if anyone has any question that may help them to figure this out then please feel free to ask
