discoloring of male cat testicles

i have a 2 yr old male cat. He had a seizure when he was born and has minimal brain damage. I noticed about 6 months ago that his testicles are turning black. There is no fluid leaking nor does he have any problems with urinating. i want to know what could be causing it.

Heck yes, I didn't think of possible bacterial infection but it could definitely be dangerous.  Definitely take the baby to the vet.

Good Luck.

Hi, I agree with my friend's post-definately take your cat to the vet.  From what I do know, usually when an area turns black like that it's either because there's some sort of bacterial infection going on or the blood supply to that area has been cut off-in other words, poor circulation to that area will cause the tissue to die and turn black.  I'm sorry if this scared you, that is not my intention.  I just wanted to tell ya what I know.

Take care and please post an update!!  =D

If this isn’t a genetic mutation I don’t know what it is. I personally have never heard of this in my entire life.  Since this doesn’t seem to be an emergency, then I’d keep an eye on the kitty. Make sure he keeps using the litter box normally. For peace of mind, I’d call the vet and make an appointment for a regular, routine check-up. But that’s what I would do. But then again…I tend to freak out when I see a small change in my animals.

Have you tried cleaning that area with water? It could be he is dirty.....
