feline vaginal discharge

I have had my cat for about 10 months now. She is no even a year old and has had no health problems until recently, she has been having discharge from her vaginal area. I took her to the vet and the vet didnt really explain anything about it to me. I dont know why she is having this discharge and i dont know what it does to my cat and how i can prevent it. She threw up this morning which makes me think that there could be something else wrong.. i would really appreciate it if i could get some feed back on this.

It probably is her monthly and she might have thrown up because she has a fur ball. Cats are always throwing up especially
if long haired. I hope that is all it is.  Is this the first kitty you have owned? The vet should have explained things better. Next time write your questions in a notebook and take them with you

Let us know how kitty is!!!

I agree...this vet should have done more 4u....this could be a sign of infection especially with the vomiting..find another vet and ask alot of questions.
good luck

Is your cat spayed?  If she is not, then it could just be her "monthly visitor".  Whether she is or isn't spayed, I don't understand why your vet wouldn't address this issue when you brought it up.  I'd have to say "See ya" to the vet and find another one.  We pay too much money to let them get away with ignoring issues like this.
