hyperthyroid and hocm

How does hyperthyroidism affect the heart, and what cardiovascular changes happen if a cat with HOCM goes from hyperthyroid to euthyroid? For instance, how are systemic vascular resistance, blood volume, stroke volume, cardiac output, etc affected. I am wondering if an HOCM heart relies on a hyperdynamic state from hyperthyroidism, and if going euthyroid will harm the cat.

hi and welcome, first of all we are not Veterinarians on this site, only pet parents and can only answer questions based on our own experience. I do know that HyperT is also associated with an enlarged heart but sorry I am unable to answer any of your other questions.
