Hi everyone,

Probably about a week ago, my kitten discovered she can jump pretty high. And during the night, she has tried to jump up onto the bench and fallen onto her "shoulder". Since then she has been limping, we decided to not take her to the vet because she didn't seem to be in much pain, although she was limping. her paw and leg is not hurt but the "shoulder" is tender to touch.
She has over the past week gotten a lot better, she is still running around, jumping, playing and she is trying to walk on it and occasionally she does.
However, she is still limping and being a worried mother, I need to know if leaving it to heal on its own is the right thing to do....help!!!!

thanks heaps :) i think it is a sprain and like you say, its hard to limit her playing!!!

Sounds like it could be just a sprain. If she is improving and walking on it as you say, she could be on the mend. The more you limit her activity, the more rapid her convalescence. But, kitties being kitties, that is hard to do.

BTW, never give a cat acetaminophen for pain.
