My friend's son is 41 years old. He just lost his mom in Feb of this year.

He is now living in another state with family members who he knows very well. The problem is, he is not wanting to go to the bathroom. He just wants to urinate in a depends instead of going to the bathroom. He had a full check up and everything was normal as far as medical. I was called today by family to see if there was anything that could cause him to act this way. Does anyone have any advice on how to help him? His mom was his total caregiver. He had never lived on his own. He can only use a w/chair and crawl. He is unable to walk or talk or hear.
