Thank you for your comment. I wish I could just go to Seattle. I just need a proper diagnosis. My MRI said my 5mm low lying tonsills were incidental. So, with that diagnosis my insurance is not going to pay for a specialist. Right now, I'm just a hypochondriac who thinks he has an illness that no one seems to have ever heard of. HA HA, its so funny to watch them try and pronounce it and everyone asking how its spelled. They can't even look it up because they don't know how to spell it. OMG, I think I'M probably going to go completely mad before I can get any help.
This is just my opinion, but I used to live in WA state and I would not see a specialist in Walla Walla. They're just not going to have as much experience (as evidenced by not even knowing what a CINE MRI is) to treat you best. I'd go to Portland, Olympia or Seattle. I know it's a trek, but I would not let anyone in your small city near your chiari with a scalpel. You need to go to a bigger city where they have better technology and more developed treatments for chiari. While most cities have a surgeon or two who do decompression surgeries on chiarians, that doesn't mean they should or are specialists in chiari.
Hi, it is also known as a flow study...mayb they call it that??
