Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

We do not refer u to a Dr, and will tell u to be prepared that u may not find a well informed one in ur area...We do however have a list of the members here Drs for u to use to research Drs and find one that works with ur ins and is close as possible to home or a friend or family member.

If u do not see the list of this first page of the forum u can scroll thru to the next page ot use the  health Pages link on the right hand side of the page to locate the list.http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/list?cid=186

Any referrels for a good neurologist in Las Vegas?? I have already had decompression surgery, however I have never been able to find a neurologist that fully understands Chiari and the array of symptoms.

Jem,
I am in St George, Ut and my PCP offered to refer me to an NS in Las Vegas or in SLC, I chose SLC because I have 3 family members who work in the new hospital where the NS is. I am not sure if there are any Chiari specialists in LV, but after my NS visit in SLC, I have decided to get another opinion from the Barrow Neorological Institue in Phoenix. The wait is long, but I feel it is worth it. Barrow has an easy referral system that is acessed either online or by phone. They ask all the right questions about your symptoms, diagnosis, and insurance and then refer you to the best doctor for your needs. - Heather

well, I am not sure about drs, but I think Vegas would be an awesome place for a Chiari support group/convention!  We could all meet there in person and take in a little of the Vegas atmosphere.  LOL!!!

I'm pretty sure there are specialists in L.A. and for some reason I'm thinking of one specifically in Loma Linda, California. But stupid Chiari memory. :(.
