Anyone have tingling in their toes?

I have been experiencing tingling in my three middle toes on both feet. I also have developed bad lower back pain. I am just curious if these could be related to my chiari.

Thanks everyone!

I called my neurologists office and of course he is out for the week and I had to speak to his nurse who knows nothing about Chiari. She still thinks that because it is a Chiari "1" malformation that it isn't that serious. She talks to me like a child and cannot understand what I am going through. I am to call back in a week and let her know how I'm doing. Once my Neuro gets back I will speak with him and if they can't help me I will call Dr. Di's office.

They did do an MRI for MS which showed lesions corresponding to the symptoms I had at the time. I also had a spinal tap with bands and higher protein count. When I had the MS attack I had horrible tingling in my left hand, arm & left side of my face it was really intense and it felt wet and frozen. I had it for about three months and once the lesion started to heal the sensations would come in bursts and during that time I could not walk with my right leg or write with my right hand. Over that time, the duration between the bursts got longer and longer until it was finally gone. I thought I was doing so good, now I am hit with the Chiari. I am going to call him about this low back and tingling. Too many problems, it is so hard to firgure out for sure what is causing what.

I was talking a MS patient while i was on the bus comming home the other day and he mentioned that he had tingling in his hands and feet.  I agree that you should call your doctor and let him know about the back issues and see if there is another prroblem that they did not find.  Did they do an MRI to find the MS?  They said that is what i had for the longest time and then they found the Chiari.  I was shocked?

My dr put me on 1 baby aspirin a day 81 mg. That has helped my tingling hands and feet...sometimes.

Obviously ask your dr, but this worked for me.

From what I am to understand, can't MS go in remission?

I have heard of several that have both Chiari and MS...one that was mis dx'd as MS and is just   chiari....so confusing.

I would call Dr Di's office and mention this back pain and how u noticed it is increasing with the other issues....he may decide to do the other testing.

Good Luck

I didn't tell Dr. Di about the back pain because although I have had it for awhile it was not constant and it wasn't the first thing on my mind and I was kind of rushed. I have noticed that since my head has been getting worse so has the lower back. I do not have any bowel or bladder issues. My MS neurologist said that I do have MS although I have had only one severe attach about 2 1/2 years ago so he said he thought it was mild. I am going to call him and get his thoughs on the matter.

Did u report all these symptoms to the dr?

And do u have a confirmed MS dx?...if so, mayb he felt the back pain was related?....mayb ur MS dr will order the MRI of ur Lumbar and thoracic spine to rule nething else out for u.

Do u also have bladder and/or bowel issues?

I have the tingling in my right hand and my toes. It does feel kind of shock-like but the back is just pain. When I went to see Dr. Di he looked over my Brain MRI but did not order one for the spine. That kind of confused me since everything I have heard on hear states that that should be done. He sent me back to my MS neurologist to manage the pain and then Dr. Di will do a CINE MRI in six months. I am using a TENS unit now and getting a little bit of relief as it is a distraction from the pressure. It doesn't seem to be doing much for my lower back pain though. I think I will call my neurologist if this continues to progress.
