I LOVE my Memoryfoam pillow. It was like $40 at JCPenney.

jcpennys has really good soft pillows. They have them sometimes buy 1 get 1 for a buck.

When I was in the hospital, the nurses put a roll behind me to keep me from rolling on my back, and to give me something to lean against while on my side, this worked so well, I still do it.

U might want to try a body pillow  or 2....and tape them together....hope that helps : )

Hi! I have tried so many pillows.  None work-everything puts too much pressure on the back of my head.  I work at a furniture store so have bought memory foam-was too hard-anything hard hurts more.  Before My symptoms started I got a pillow called Sobakawa it worked great then but is too hard for me now.  I got a cheap neck roll pillow filled loosely with Styrofoam type beads so puts very little pressure on my neck/back of head, but seems to leave top of my head hanging so to speak.  I no longer see a chiropractor since have been told shouldn't but he recommended I try sleeping in a recliner.  thought I was being smart by ordering from my store a adjustable bed-box spring.  It worked great the first month or so.  Felt great to get pressure off my head/shoulders.  But found I would move too much and end up twisted a bit and would wake hurting too much.  So bought the candy cane shaped pillow from Walmart.  Its $20 says as seen on tv on it.  Its meant for side sleepers and is cheaply filled enough to not put too much pressure but I found I would roll to my back and again wake in too much pain.  So now 3 days ago bought a recliner from my store to keep me from moving too much (wish I followed chiros recommendation-wda saved money lol).  I got a good Lazboy which has helped me to not move too much but still wake in horrible pain.  I am thinking of inventing a pillow-anyone know how to do that? LOL sorry to be so long but hoping my different attempts might give someone advice or save them money lol.

My mother just got me a pillow and I am so sorry I can't remember the name of it but it is in a candy-cane shape- the idea being that it positions you correctly and gives you a little support for the back of your head neck and back - I will try to find out the nae and let you know - i beleive she ordered it from the Carol Wright catalog - anyway - i love it - i am a side sleeper and it does help put me in the right position and I love how it gives me a little bit of support on the back of my neck as well. I am still having alot of problems with my neck and my head so this was one little good thing to help.

When I was having really bad neck pain my mom got me a memory foam pillow (I think from Cosco). It was a lot harder than I was used to and I had to get used to sleeping with it but after a few nights my neck pain got so much better!! Now I can't live without it. However, some Chiarians didn't do well with the memory foam so you sort of have to try it out and see..but like I said, give it a few nights before you make a decision.

I just bought the cloud pillow at CVS. I paid $20 for it. So far it has seemed to help my neck problems. I have a spine fusion at C6-7 and a bulge that hasn't been fixed at C5-6.
I also am a side sleeper and it works for that too. I put it on top of a reguslar pillow. Hope you find a good one.
I have heard there is a pillow the chiropractors sell that you fill up with water. It has a guage that tells you how much water to add for firmness or softness. Haven't tried it yet but I may. I think they are between $20-40

I found an awesome pillow at Ikea.  It is soft but supportive and springs right back into place.  It was a little on the expensive side at $40 but I was pretty desperate too for a decent pillow.

Thank you! My neck pain is getting worse and worse! My cervical MRI from June/July showed bulging disk from c5-c7 with stenosis and other words?? But no one (pcp, nl, ns) has talked about doing anything for it so guess it's not serious enough! Pcp did rx hydrocodone/apap but I'm careful when I take it bc I take care of my daughter during the day and often get called into the school to sub so only take when I HAVE to! O and can't take it past 5-6pm bc it makes me WIDE AWAKE and I already have trouble ever falling asleep before 1am as it is! Lol like I've had this same bottle since end of November I believe and still have a lil less than half a bottle!

Anyways enough of my rambling! Thanks for the advise!
