Chiari Specialists in the Northern Virginia area?

Hi,

I was wondering if there were any specific Chiari Specialists related definitely with Chiari in the Northern Virginia area?  I have a Neurologist but want to see someone who specializes directly with Chiari as well as Syrinx/Syringomyelia.

  Most chiari NS's do not work with ins....the NL and hospital staff generally do...and if u talk to his staff u may find u can work out payments.

But, many NS's do not so that they do not have the ins companies dictating if and when they can do surgery.

I know about Dr. Henderson I just know that he doesn't take insurance.  Maybe I'll have to take a trip to see him for a consult.  

If anyone else knows of any Chiari specialists in this area, please feel free to post.

  Hi...I am not sure, and would suggest u take a look at out list and do some research....if u r in the Wash, DC area...u may want to try Dr Henderson...or in NC a Dr Rosner....if they r close to the part of VA u r in or can travel to.

Many of us do have to travel to get to the right dr.
