Chiari and Hypothyroidism not caused by autoimmune disorder

Hello, I was wondering if anyone with a type 1 Chiari Malformation also has hypothyroidism with negative antibodies. Is there any connection with hypothyroidism and Chiari other than when it's autoimmune?

Also, is there anyone with central/secondary hypothyroidism and Chiari?

many thanks

Hi strawberrymood and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I am not sure how many that have Chiari and an auto immune thyroid condition like Hashimoto's  or have a secondary/central thyroid condition. Since Chiari can have an effect on all of oour bodies it is possible for the thyroid issues to be connected even if it is not autoimmune....

I was on meds for Hashimoto's and after my PFD I was told my levels were in range and I no longer needed the meds.
