Are my symptoms normal for after Charo decompression surgery?

I am 2.5 months out from my decompression surgery and have started having shooting pains in my head almost like needles jammed in.  I have been thinking this is probably from nerve regeneration but wanted to ask the community.  It also feels like a lot of my numbness is going away in my head.  My head is still very tender though like when I try to brush tangles out of my hair etc.  I also still have a lot of stiffness in my neck and around my incision.  Is all of this normal?  My daily headaches have retuned which was my main reason for having the surgery.  Can they still go away or was the surgery unsuccessful?  Thanks for any help you can offer

Hi...since we all are different it is not possible to say if everything you are feeling is typical for post op...but having a return of symptoms is " as normal" as it can be....BUT the symptoms should not be as intense or last as long....and with time should reduce in frequency.

I had surgery in '09 and continued to see changes and or improvements for yrs post op...so it will not be immediate as to what benefits you actually  received from surgery.

May I ask what your daily activities have been? Were you doing something prior to the symptoms? (referring to shooting pain)
