Does anyone know dr John Bergman in California?

My husband had a whiplash accident 20 years ago and have been suffering from chronic neck pain ever since then. Well, in the beginning was only constant neck pain, but with the years neurological symptoms developed. Now the pain is more severe and in more places of the body. He was never really diagnosed with anything, the mri shows he has tonsilar ectopia (around 3mm), but there is no "water head" and the cine mri seems to be normal. 20 years going to different doctors and no one could help him.
When I was researching for his pelvic and testicle pain, I came across one video of dr John Bergman, a corrective chiropractor in California, which was very informative and eye-opening. He tried the method that he talked about on the video and got immediate relief (not 100%, but enough to feel a little bit more comfortable, which can not even be achieved with tramadol) from the testicle pain that was torturing him for around one year. We were thrilled and I continued to watch a lot more of his videos. His knowledge is really impressive and we are thinking about going to him, just we are in Asia now and it requires a little bit of time and planning to go to America (visa and stuff). Another thing that has been bothering us is that we do not know if going to a corrective chiropractor, or in other words, doing the manipulation would make him worse. I remember seeing in this forum that chiropractor makes things worse and other websites saying some people get brainstem stroke after chiropractic adjustment and die. It is really really scary!!!
I want to ask if anyone went to him or heard about him ( or other CORRECTIVE chiropractors), your info would help us a lot! Thank you very much!

Hi GallyLi and welcome back to the Chiari forum.

Manual manipulations of the cervical spine with Chiari is not a good idea as it can create an even more restrictive impingement due to the manor in which they move the neck....especially if there is a retroflexed odontoid...if this bone is pressing into the brain stem then the outcomes you mentioned above could happen.

Whom you need is a true  Chiari specialist....I am not aware of Drs in Asia....
