I was going to say... I am reading a book about chiari I got off Amazon and his research in this area is often quoted, From what I have read he is definitely a chiari expert and has done his fair share increasing the knowledge about subject
Ill keep you in my thoughts and prayers! So happy that he gave you such a high success rate! Ill post on here how my appt goes so that anyone else considering this dr will have more info. Please let us know how you do after your surgery (I'm sure it will take awhile until you're in the mood to comment). Best of luck!!!
The appointment went well. I am scheduled for decompression surgery on 6/17/13. He told me he wanted to do it sooner but I told him I needed to get things in order so he let me put it off until next Monday .I was talking to the nurse that set up my surgery and was told Dr. Bejjani is one of the ones who pioneered decompression surgery, so that made me feel more at ease..He said the success rate is 90%. He said he has done many of these. Good luck with your appointment.
How did it go? Good news I hope! It seems like everybody differs with the surgery which does make me feel uneasy too. But remember, there are ppl who have wonderful recoveries and results! Stay cautiously optimistic (a saying my aunt always tells me when I see drs)! :)
He did my neck surgery. I thought he was good. I am just nervous about the chiari surgery I don't know what to expect. He is straight forward he told me I would need the surgery sooner or later. He also said there is no magic pill to cure it. I wool post more after my appointment on 6/7/13
I have my first appointment with him next Thursday, Im just in the starting phase of my chiari journey. Please let me know what you think of him and if you decided to have him perform your surgery. Hope all is well as can be and you feel better soon :)
