Daughter has very sore and stiff neck after csf leak

Hi everyone! I'm new here. My 6yo daughter is 3 weeks post op and 1 week since a csf leak. Her ns restitched her at the time of the leak and out her in bed rest. We haven't had anymore leaking, just some swelling that comes and goes. Last night, she had a low grade fever and then woke in the middle of the night screaming from neck pain and stiffness. Her pain and stiffness has been basically gone lately. I'm concerned about meningitis. Her ns office opens in about 2 hours and I'll call then, but wanted to see if anyone else had anything similar.   Hi Krissy and welcome to the Chiari forum.

I would not wait for the office to open take her to the ER where they can contact her Dr to come see her....and to make sure it is not another leak.....CSF can build up into pockets and then be absorbed...so even tho you do not see a leak, there can still be one.

Get her checked ASAP do not wait.
