I could not agree more, and on camping trips with my DD, I would do the same get up early and sit in my fav spot and watch the birds, it was such a peaceful calming feeling to this day I can close my eyes and imagine I am there ...sigh......
years ago, when we were homeschooling our kiddos I use to wake up very early to sit outside and sip my coffee with the calm and stillness of the morning. I would use the quiet time to relax and read my devotions. The birds took notice and started joining me. It was those times that I think my heart was the most peaceful. Something about watching them and realizing that if the birds are being taken care of, then how much more will I and my family be cared for! Sorry, dont mean to make this a "spiritual" thing...but, for me-during those stressful times- it gave me a reminder of how we are so blessed! Watching birds is never a waste in my mind!
Jiggle
I love watching humming birds, do u get ne of them?
Deff not a waste of time, but u do not have to waste all ur time to fribble...lol....as long as u enjoy it it can never be wasted, can it?
I'm enjoying watching birds at the feeder. Not sure this is time wasted though! I have an idea for a new kind of feeder...
I do not like air mattresses either, get one of those foam things to lay over it, they roll up tight and do not take that much room, u will be more comfy,.....
Aww sweet, get a pic of ur DS's face, priceless when u can give something like that. Sounds like u will have a great time : )
Safe travels : )
getting the house tiddied up and all the laundry taken care of. Off to visit our old friends, havent seen most of them for a year now since the move. We are surprising our youngest by taking him to his best friends birthday party. They have missed each other so since our move. Cant wait to see the look on his face! Down side is sleeping on an airmattress...I really love being in my own bed!
Hi all...so what wonderful things r u working on this week?
Hi all what are we working on this week...Father's day treats??
Yes I know, but she has had peanut Butter b4 and no reaction......
I just remembered that peanuts are highly allergenic!
Well I am sure the vet will be able to tell her if the rice and oatmeal is ok to use, I hope so.
Well it has calmed down, she was very pink.....so what ever it was, the chicken , wheat or what ever in her diet that was removed she is better with a change in diet.
Yes, rice is a grain. But I had a kid w/a lot of food allergies & sensitivities, and oats & rice are considered less allergenic (than wheat, corn, dairy e.g.). Of course, some poor kids are allergic to even rice, and some dogs are just itchy no matter what.
Hmm but isn't that considered a grain?....she has a vet visit coming up, she removed chicken and grains from her diet as she was so itchy and she is better...
I hope they figure out what the issue really is as I want to try this, I have oatmeal and can see her liking it....
I am definitely leaving the dishes--I plan to avoid the kitchen for several weeks! And maybe all but 2 rooms.
Wheat is usually the culprit, but she could try oatmeal. I eat brown rice every day; it was already cooked, so that's what I used. I think the PB probably mixes better w/it too.
LMAO...so hence the bone....hahaha funny I hope u left it for him to do, if not, he will continue to "forget"...leave it....lol..
Oh ok...do u know of nething else to use in place of rice, my DD is not sure yet if her puppy is allergic to grain, so we would have to avoid the rice....
I just added enough peanut butter to hold the rice together; maybe 2T PB to 1 C of rice? I figured less mess that way, than all PB.
My DH was supposed to start a routine of unloading & loading the dishwasher, but when I got up this morning, it wasn't done. He's always in the doghouse, lol.
My DD has a puppy and a few old bones that all the marrow is out of...what all do u do to fill them, ratio of rice and peanut butter...I would love to try this.
Love to see u give it to ur DH...lmao : P
Yesterday I made pillowcases so that I'd have something cheerful w/ me in the hospital. It's great to see results quickly )but it did kill my head).
Today I stuffed old bones w/a rice-peanut butter mixture, then froze them. This is for my hyperactive border collie while I'm recuperating.
Or for my husband if he doesn't take good care of me.
Oh I remember I had a set like that when I was a kid....u had to actually turn the channel...then the first remote had a wire attached to the set, so no one could walk in front with out tripping , as the wire was not all that long...lol... u were better off getting up and changing the dang thing...lol..
To show u sentimental,.....I wanted to keep our black and white TV we had in the kitchen as that is what I was use to, we would go across the street to a friends to see color TV....it hurt my eyes, wonder if that was the chiari talking to me then....hmmmm
Neway I prefer black and white and when that set died I was upset, the last of an era for me...
My Friday is being spent on my wonderful and hard working hubby. Today is his 45th Birthday. I took the kids shopping yesterday for his gifts since we were already in town for my Dr. appt. Nothing overly special, but little things he has been requesting. Time to wrap gifts and make cake. Looking to make a Tres Leche cake for him as he fell in love with it a few years ago while celebrating his birthday in Mexico.
His only concern today...getting his arms around our oldest DD when she gets home today from her trip today. It was an emotionaly hard one, and daddy just wants to hold her and make her tears go away.
BEST husband I could have ever asked for!!!!
Selma, hope you find a good replacement! I remember being upset when my G-parents died, we all had grown up sitting around watching it. It had the old turn knob....which we had to be careful with - if G-pa heard us truning it too fast we got "The Look"! Weird how sentimental I get over stuff!
Hi all well this week I will fibble about my TV in the living room, we have had it a good long time almost 20 yrs...my DD was in 5th grade and I know we had it...well it died today, not sure it is fixable so no TV for a while....
Does neone else have a TV that long, really that is long now a days for something electronic to last...we have had 3 dishwashers and not sure how may wash machines and dryers over the yrs not to mention stoves, but this one old TV kept plugging away....aww...
It is always something...right?...OMG....I am sure it was an accident , right?lol...
repairs r never a fun project, but u still get a sense of accomplishment...and that is good, plus the item is usable again,2fold...yea
So how r u feeling?
I was having fun gardening too before surgery :) That is until my sister accidentally hit me in the face with the shovel (full size) and I now have a black eye to go with everything else.. you just have to laugh some days! I have a table full of sewing repairs to be my next project but that is never much fun!!!
Hi All....what projects r u all up to,...by the inactivity it seems u r spending more time outdoors....????
