First time driving!!

It has been 8 weeks today since surgery, Dr B said I could drive but, never had the courage till this morning, I got up determined  that I was going to do this on my own!!!! I had a  doctors app. For the EMG test, ( just to make sure there was no never damage) ...doctors office was not from my home so I drove , most of the driving was just looking straite so it wasn't that bad especially having to where the neck brace!! It is still very hard to look side to side when you are coming out of a street or parking lot and  to go onto a main road, but I think that with some therapy, that should get a lot better. Dr B said I can go back to work in 4 more weeks, so I had to get behind the wheel, I will say it wasn't easy, but I have to drive to get to work so I had to give it a shot!!

Hi.....I have a friend that had a fusion surgery and to help her with driving she got the mirrors for when you have an RV that you are pulling...it helps with being able to see without having to turn....check them out.

Glad you were able to drive...that is one thing I have yet to be able to do...congratulations!!

Many cars don't have an extended inside mirror, which can be purchased as an accessory. This doubles the length of the inside rear mirror in the middle of the windshield.

A larger outside rear-view mirror will help also.
