i was in a wedding on 10-23-10 (only 23 days after my surgery). i wore FOUR inch heels (im only 5'2).
i will say - i was okay 'during' the (45 minute) ceremony - but right after - i was DYING!
do what you have to! ALL the bridesmaids had flat shoes for the reception - but you feel comfortable in whatever you are wearing!
LOL!!! Im suprised you didnt follow up your "response" with an "uncontrolable twitch" to the eye......hahaha.....kidding....kinda... ;)
I had a woman at the bridal salon where DD and I got dresses for her wedding...I said I wanted a tea length dress and t wear flats as well....she proceeded to tell me that the father of the bride most likely will wear a tux and the MOB should not show her legs....
I proceeded to explain, I walk with a cane, and the ceremony is outside on the side of a mountain.....I do not need extra fabric nor do I need heels.....
She immediately changed her tune...but some [people just do not get it....it doesn't matter what they want------ the customer is always right....no need to explain why we want what we want.
Enjoy the wedding!! : )
oh my! milkman? lol! just kidding! lol
some people are just stupid by nature...don't even give her a second thought. people like that really don't matter in our lives. the way i look at is, if what ever is bothering me won't matter 6 months from now, then it's a small thing and not worthy of my time now. don't sweat the small stuff and my friend, there aint that much big stuff out there! keep smiling and enjoy your sisters wedding!!! and wear tennis shoes if you need to!!
