Head position in MRI

Hi, I'm 15 and was diagnosed with CM over a year ago after an MRI. I'm due to have another MRI within the course of the next few days and was just curious if the way I tilt my head back during the MRI could have any effect on the results?
If you don't understand the question I'll try to elaborate further, thanks in advance. :)

Congratulations....sounds like you did very well !!

Hmmm I never attempted to move when having a MRI as I was told to remain still....now the flexion and extenstion X rays were different as they want you in those positions....but with a MRI, I would remain still as possible so they get a good record.....

There is a brace that prevents my head from moving side to side but I can still move it forward and back, if that makes sense.
Kickboxing went great, thanks for asking, I won two silvers and a bronze in the worlds (silver for sparring under 18, another silver for sparring over 18 (I don't know why I was in that group) and a bronze for points sparring) as well as gold in the irish championships :) No injuries apart from bruised ribs and the next worlds is this October in sunny Spain! Can't wait.

When I had a flexion extension mri of the cervical spine I was told my chiari worsened in extension.  My symptoms also do as well, so I wasn't surprised by those results.  I was only able to see a worsening of my chiari in extension because it was an upright mri, I don't think the way you lay down for a regular mri will make a difference.

Hi...I am not sure what you mean....the Drs will have your head in a brace of sorts to put your head in the correct position for the MRI.....

How did your kick boxing competition go? Are you still active in the sport?
