Coincidentally I recently found out that 2 hospitals in my state have "charity care".  They would know the doctors who would participate.
This must be true in other areas too.

Good luck; I know it's hard to fight for yourself when you already dont feel well.

Thank u for thinking of me during that awful storm...trust me there r others that had such an horrendous after effects of that storm...I had minimal issues when u consider what others r dealing with....I pray ur Uncle got away as well as I did.

It is really difficult when u r on medicaid and medicare when u need specialty Drs....the only thing I can think of to suggest is to try the clinical trials to get treatment.

U will have to travel to MD, but I do believe they pay ur way if u r accepted into the trials.

I know others have mentioned chiari trials when insurance was a problem when finding a specialist...others will chime in that know more.  I know Selma will have more information too when she is back online.

I have never had to deal with out insurance thank goodness, but other's have mentions that you can call or send your MRI's to  NS and they most likely would look at them and see if they could put you on a case study.  If you get on one of these they usually pay for everything.  I'm sure someone on here has had this done and will be on here to give you more advice.  I just wanted to say my heart goes out to you and pray you will get the answers you need.  Many blessing sent your way Chairian friend.  Also you have come to an awesome website that send us all out getting more infor, but most importaantly the love and supporting understanding with others who deal with this daily.  Wishing you a better day.
Linda :)
