Bigjan,
Hello and welcome to the boards.
Chiari is congenital - you were born with it - over time it sometimes gets worse. This can be very serious! While not necessairaly considered life threatening, it is life changing and can cause serious health risks - I'm not trying to scare you, but this can lead to paralysis and severe headaches, dizziness, vision problems, etc.
You do not want to ignore this. It can go from an annoyance to serious in a matter of months.
Surgery is often the only option. There may be things you can do to slow down the onset, but there is no cure for Chiari - even surgery only helps with the symptoms.
Do you not want to do surgery because you don't like that particular doctor or because you don't want the surgery, period?
