I'm having random bruising

Hello,

I have been posting on here for a few days now. I am a year and a half post surgery and all my symptoms have returned plus lack of speaking correctly. Within the pass 3-4 days I have been noticing random bruises on my legs and now I have one on my wrist. We are unsure what is causing this. Any ideas. I have Chiari Type I, have talked to my neurosurgeon who has told me nothing surgically can be done with my malformation since I already had the surgery once and it is still in place. All my test come back normal etc. I know the symptoms can return but is random bruising a symptom or could it be something else?

God Bless,

Dustin

Well good news it was not a stroke,,,and that the meds were causing the bruising...not so good that this is yet another chiari related issue.

DO u have a chiari dr?

News is in, I did not have a stroke, it is most likely the chiari or maybe a syrinx of tethered cord. Since I didn't have a stroke I am off the plavix and the random bruising has stopped :) :)

I would think a check again on EDS would be in order for u...at least if for nething but to rule it out completely.

Deff check into this again.

so far no tethered cord, syrinx or ehlers-danolos but i do have a mitral valve prolapse like man who do have Ehlers-Danlos. My prolapse is caused by a hole in my heart that healed up on its own but didn't heal up quite right. Anyways I see a doctornext week. Took forever for them to get me in. I see a scoliosis specialist who is going to look at my spine to double check for any siest or syrinx and what not. Seeing a neurologist as well to give me something for the migraines etc.

Also I have been put on plavix as a blood thinner, that may be causing the bruising.
