I am a 10 yr decompression post op 62 years old.  I am experiencing leg weakness when trying to stand from a sitting position.  Could this be related?

I had leg weakness as a symptom before my decompression and it got better after surgery. Then it slowly started to come back and my legs are quite weak now. I developed craniocervical instability after my decompression surgery and due to this there is pressure on my brainstem, which is the cause of my leg weakness. When I underwent cervical traction up to 25 pounds my leg strength came back.  So I need a craniocervical fusion if i want to try to feel better.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Leg weakness could be due to Chiari....but it could be a related condition or something you have that could be family related....look to family medical history, and do have a check up to make sure you did not have scar tissue form that may be causing some of this.
May I ask, were ALL related conditions ruled out before you had surgery?
When was your last MRI?
