My chiari cough headache/sneeze...yours?

My cough and sneeze headache is just awful. I can honestly say it is much much much worse this time around than it has ever been. (recap to some: I had surgery in 07 Nov, and after a long long run around long story, I have cerebellar ptosis).  Anyway since this crummy cold my cough headache I noticed is bad! I used to have it mostly in the front and some in the back (lower back of head but mainly the front).  Well now it is from Front to the Back of my head (top and back) all the way back. I hold my head in the front and back to well...idk why because it is instinct I guess to try and help hold my head still in hopes it wont hurt worse - although I dont know how much worse it can get.

So how is your chiari cough/sneeze headache?

Thanks :)

He did say he wanted to do it, but finalize it at my next appt in 2 weeks. Thank goodness he is not leaving b4 that appt so I have documentation of it from him to take to whoever he passes me to or unless he lets me follow to his other hospital.  I just want to get it out of the way.  I am in bed too much. I want to feel better for me and mostly the top priority for my son.

Yeh it is worse than before the first surgery. I hate it. I am glad to know I am not alone in the head holding thing. I actually did this out in public yesterday and today...just could not stand up for long to cook (feeling bad) so we went down the street to eat out at a diner. I did it there. I think my husband was a bit embarrassed. I don't get out hardly at all but I really needed that time out of the house. Felt good to be out...no matter how bad I felt.  Got sick leaving the restaurant though (that nausea thing that comes with our condition/headaches) but soon that disappeared. :)

Hi...since u got ur dx, has ur NS decided to repair ur slump?.....I know u can get some relief from those coughs and sneezes.....

I do not have to hold my head ne longer.....but, do not have an issue with my surgery.

In having brain slump or cerebellar ptosis can be as bad if not worse than ur orig chiari HA's and symptoms.

I hope ur drs r planning how to help u feel better.
