Nausea

This symptom is harder for me to tolerate than pain.  Dr. Rosner's office suggested that I ask for Zofran--after a day & 1/2, my pcp finally called it in.
I'm wondering what others have tried; it seems rather expensive & didn't work that fast.  I'm not vomiting, so I don't need a pill that dissolves in my mouth.  I was told that it's the least sedating, but maybe I should be sedated!  :)

Coming from the brain stem & not the stomach, I guess.  Meclizine didn't help though, and that's for motion sickness (isn't that brain?).
Salty food helps to, just like w/morning sickness.  At least you get a baby out of that!

"neuro nausea" ...I had a hard time discribing that symptom, will have to remember that term! I wake up feeling that way sometimes, not sure what that means?

My daughter, a NP, said that I have "neuro nausea" and there's nothing that can help that.  I found that chewing mint gum is about as helpful as anything. Just like all the other symptoms, it comes & goes though.

I've had zofran but the taste does nothing to help the nausea lol. Right now I am taking compazine, which they use for chemotherapy a lot. Half the time it works, the other half not so much. Maybe it will work for you :-)

I was getting sick to my stomach for a while also, but found out it was due to the med I was taking, and it went away after it was in my symptem.  Hope you get some relief.
