Necklaces post-op?

Hi all, hope everyone is well. This may sound silly but I'm just wondering how soon post op you found you where able to comfortably wear a necklace? I used to wear them every day but I haven't since the op, tried last week but had to take it off after ten minutes as the sensation on my neck was just too uncomfortable. Did anyone else have this issue?

I was about 3 months post op when I thought about wearing one. I just wore a chain with a little charm because big, heavy ones hurt. I still cannot wear heavy ones and I am nearly 8 months post op now. Some earrings bother me if they are too heavy too! I wear stud earrings all the time now.

BTW, love your screen name!  I had issues with things around my neck pre-op and I just now started wearing necklaces again.  I'm 5 1'2 months post op.  Turtlenecks bother me too.  I have a badge I'm supposed to wear at work that I just cannot tolerate some days....I end up taking it off and putting it in my pocket OR wearing a collared shirt so I can put the badge lanyard underneath the collar and off my neck.

Hi.....I had that issue long b4 I had surgery always felt I was being choked....turtle necks and all drove me crazy....I am better with the turtle necks now...but still have issues if it is too tight....

I have yet to get back to wearing necklaces only bcuz it was so  long I had stopped....but like u at one time I would wear one daily.....

I would say give it time as things will continue to change and get better for  a few yrs....I just may try a necklace bcuz u asked this question : )
