Need a NS in Michigan or close by

Hi I am new to the site, I was diagonsis last June with a 10mm Chiari & Syringomelia. J have always know that something was wrong with me just didn't know what it was. I am very clumsy and fall over alot, I have a constant headache, and many other symptoms. I am seeing a ns locally, just had an appointment with him and left kinda upset. I told him how I have been feeling really werid lately besides always being in pain I have been having a feeling of being stuck, my eyes get stuck and I can't move, I can hear everything everyone is saying just can't respond.
    The NS said to me "that's strange" and that was it. Then he gave me a script for an MRI in June and a script for PT.
       So needless to say I need a new ns.

I am from michgan as well, bay city actually. I had surgery at u of m in ann arbor. My nl is in ann arbor as well.

Well sounds like u also need more MRI's to see what is going on...u need a CINE MRI to see if u  have a CSF obstruction and overcrowding.....

We do have a lot of info that may help u in our Health Pages located at the bottom of this page...and we have a list of Chiari specialists compiled by the members of their Drs names,.....so it is possible for some of the Drs to not be true chiari specialists, just NS that successfully treated chiari.

Here r the Drs for ur state that were on our list- do research all the drs...if u do not like these see the list for other choices and know u may have to travel to get the best dr, This list of names is not meant as a referral.
