Nerve Pain

Does anyone experience jaw pain? I am beginning to hurt all over. The pain starte in my arms and legs but now I ache all over. The pain comes and goes. It seems to get worse when I get cold. My NS said there was nothing else he could do surgically. He referred me back to the pain management doctor. I am tired of getting the run around

  Hi Candy...how far post op r u?

And what is ur daily routine...this all can play a part in ur recovery....so it matters what and how much u r doing at what point of ur recovery.....

I hurt more when I am cold as well...and many times it is the fact we tighten up and clench up everything including our jaw when we r cold...so this also may be a part of ur pain....

Carry a sweater with u , I do all the time in fact I even carry a sweatshirt with a hoodie in the summer cuz I get cold....and I found that I do tend to tense up all my muscles when I am cold....

Try to think about it next time u r cold...stick ur tongue btwn ur teeth every so often to be sure u r not hold ur jaw firm.

   I hope this helps : )

I get jaw pain but have not had surgery.  To me it's very clearly from my neck since it radiates from my neck and into my arm and face (and jaw).  Yours may be different, but your NS should be investigating possible nerve problems if he hasn't already.  Is your NS a chiari specialist?
