Numbness in head after surgery

I had decompression surgery in aug. I am doing a lil better but not much. My neck spasms have gone down some but my other pains are still relevant. I can handle all that but after surgery the right side of my head was numb and it still is. My doctors say its normal but it is driving me crazy cause it itches like crazy at times and sometimes the numbness hurts. Anyone know anything that could help?

I agree with selma. The ice packs felt great but dont use them too much or for too long. I overdid it with ice and everything tightened up and felt worse. Try to rotate ice then heat. I also had terrible tingling on the top of my head and down the right side.  Dr said it was the nerves healing. Prayers for you to get some relief soon.

It is very normal to feel like u do....and I think we all know the itching issue BTDT....u have to try and focus on something else....I know it is not easy.

But as u heal some pains will come back that is a normal part of healing the issue is when it is more painful then b4 surgery or a new issue.

Keep in mind some of us may have nerve damage post op too...

Try an ice pack and see if that helps.
