OT, Has anyone seen "the Artist"?

Its a silent movie, which won tons of awards, but as a recovering patient, I found it very soothing!  It must use a different part of your brain to just watch, but not listen.  There seemed to be something childlike or meditative about the experience.

  TCM shows Silent Movies every Sunday...Silent Sundays...I forget what time they start....but u may see a few u like.....

What other silent movies would you recommend?

I notice that when I watch an old movie, I'm not constantly readjusting the sound like with newer ones.  Sometimes the background noise is louder than the voices!

i watched it with my twin sister.absolutely loved the movie. and i absolutely like the idea of no sound.action speaks louder than words!!!

I loved the artist :) And even thoe this is a new film I think that some of the best movie ever where made at the time of the silent cinema! I also like to watch forein movies and original Japanesse manga with the sound down and the subtitle up.

  Hi, it is on my list to watch with my DD.....I love silent films and watch them all the time, in fact bcuz of sound being an issue for me I use the close captioning and turn the sound off....I love it, especially when I need to sleep, it helps to read and not have all those sounds to stimulate.
