Okay, I give. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Just found out that the only scans I have ever had were in the ER a little over a year ago. The "specialists" I thought I was seeing for Chiaris took scans of my HEART. Other specialists want $ to even make an appointment, and it seems I have to have SSDI for that since I am not working. I have already applied once and been turned down. How do I find an advocate to help me get the help? Im nearest to Dixon, IL.

Hi Keith.  So sorry u are suffering through this.   Have u contacted the local deptartmemt of human services. U may be elligible for Medicaid. Medicare is harder to get under 65 years of age without having disability which is even harder to get.  I appoligize but do u live in the US?  The said a different contry and my mobile app doesn't let me view profiles.

Also I have found that findi
g a speacialist is harder than I would have ever thought. But maybe just look at the link of doctors on here. And find one close call them.  Most of the other med help members have shared their own speacialist which helps souch and saves time and money from the ones out there that won't or can't help.

Also look into WI and Nys chiari centers. They will often take ur scans and view them. For free. They maybe able to help I am not sure how they do billing though.

Good luck

Hello Keith, Since you are not working are you eligible for Medicaid?  That is usually administered by the Dept of Social Services in your county.  That is based purely on assets and income.  Now as far as trying to get to a specialist there is a foundation for people with CM/SM called Wishes and Rainbows they may be able to help you with covering an appt.  If you have to travel there are Angel Flights.  You should be able to google these and get the information on how to apply for assistance.

I hope this helps some.

Hi Keith,

I wish I could help...but I am not in the same country as you. I am responding to bump your post up and hopefully someone that has experience with this can help you.
