Okay I guess I get to be the newbee now...

My name is Keith and I have recently had to deal with the fact that God has allowed my Chiaris to remain for some reason even through prayers and fasting. He knows best.

Few things:
1) NO specialist will see me--that I can find--until I have either money or insurance. My wife works 3 part time jobs right now with NO insurance, and my symptoms are getting to me (pain in shoulders, limping greatly, etc has gotten WORSE).

2) I am having trouble navigating here, and am probably a bit frustrated and scared at the moment, I dont mean to frustrate anyone.

3) I have been a teacher--overqualified with a Masters now, and no one else will hire me for fear of me going away as soon as a teaching job comes up. Any suggestions of areas a large number of you have found home based work in...phones..? Anything. RIght now I am driving my wife to her three jobs, but 8 hr days in the car make it worse...BUT I dont want her falling asleep at the wheel with 17 hr days!

Guess I will leave things that way for now.

  Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Do not worry about navigation, it comes the longer u r here, just ask for help.....as for Drs, many times u can do fund raising to help get the monies needed...see if u can get some help this way...we do have orgs that can help with medical bills...look into our thread on Links-http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Neurological%20Disorders/Dysautonomia---Links/show/744?cid=186

AS far as working from home, I have yet to find the right thing for me, but a  friend does the phones for many of the infomercials.....if interested I might be able to find out more info on that.

What a difficult time it must be for you I will say us brits are so lucky with that we can fall back onto the government for our treatment with in the NHS. Although our money isnt much if we leave our jobs at least we get something.
I cant suggest any jobs as im on the other side of the world although i did feel that being on a telephone may prevoke other areas such as headaches or neck pain. Could you not go back into teaching on a part time basis until you can get your insurance sorted out.
I wish you all the luck in the world although Im not religious I will say a prayer for you tonight wishing you and your wife long happy healthy wealthy life.
