Meningitis outbreak~~~

Hi All this  is scary as so many of us have had or r getting steroid injections....

[ injectable steroids were one thing the sickened patients had in common, there could also be other things in common, such as the anesthetic or the antiseptic, and the search for a cause is ongoing.]

Please see the story for more info

This issue is continuing to spread to more states with more people affected...and more deaths.....

If u have ne symptoms after having steroid injections...do not assume it is from Chiari...call ur Dr or go to the ER to be checked......

U should be able to copy and paste with an ipad....to get to the links.....

it is scary as it is not limited to one state......

I just want everyone to be aware of this issue, and the symptoms and where the issues have occurred and pray none of our friends have been affected by these steroids.

I cant, or don't know how, to access the links from stupid ipad, but from my brief & limited understanding this a.m., this is a fungal meningitis, & the fungus has been found in the steroids.

For some reason, the co. involved is under state, not FDA regulations.
(My DS works for pharm companies to ensure their compliance w/FDA.  He said that, after the nuclear industry, the pharmaceutical companies are the most heavily regulated.  I say TG for that!)
