Possible issue with patch

Has anyone had a leak in their dura patch? I'm not talking about a csf leak. If so, what are symptoms and the what was done to resolve?

  Oh, ok...symptoms will depend on the type of leak..large or small.....and the symptoms would be similar to what you had before.

You could also develop an area that is squishy these are called pseudomeningoceles...it is a sack that fills with the fluid and can be painful.
These sacks occur when there is an opening in the dura.

Sorry I misspoke, I had a csf leak from incision from lumbar shunt. Had a blood patch. My question is what are symptoms is csf leak from dura patch that was sewn in?

A leak with the dura patch is a CSF leak....

Symptoms depends on how large or small the leak is.....and first attempts typically are a blood patch for small leaks, and sometimes surgery is required.

We have had several members develop a leak post op due to the dura patch failure.
