Post nasal drip

Does anyone suffer from chronic post nasal drip?  If so, what have you found that helps?  I have had it for yrs. Yrs ago before my surgery my PCP did a ct scan to check bc i had chronic sinus infections. Everything came back normal. My NS said my surgery may help my sinus problems. It hasnt. Zyrtec, benedryl, OTC sinus meds - nothing helps or relieves it. I vomit a lot and think the PND is the cause of some of it. Terrible gag reflex too. No infections thankfully since surgery but this non-stop drip is driving me nuts.

Thank you. I will try a nasal spray and see if it provides some relief.

I too suffer with awful post nasal drip and also gerd. I take zyrtec and Rhinocort Aqua, it is nasal spray and it does help. I have tried other nasal sprays but this one seems to work the best.

GERD can be a symptom of EDS too...many with EDS have a hiatal hernia so I know how u feel....I have my GERD under control right now...hope it lasts for a while this time too,...lol...

I had no gag reflex post op, and just recently got it back...3.5 yrs post op..so there is hope....to those that lost theirs....

Poor thing. I have GERD also but no oversized uvula. Would hate the joking feeling. My gag reflex is on overdrive lately. I think stress just adds to my symptoms.

I also have the drip issue my whole life. I don't vomit for I have no gag reflex but it does make my gerd worse also. I can't stand it. Plus I have an oversuzed uvula which makes me feel like I'm always choking...

Thanks Selma. I take benedryl almost every night before bed. Zyrtec or Tylenol Sinus during the day  Nothing really seems to help. Why bother even taking the meds?  Its so frustrating. I may try using the nettie pot again to see if that helps some. How was your wknd with your DD and Lucy?  Waiting for a call back from Dr Rosners office. I called again today and they're supposed to call back later today.

Hi...yes, this has always been an issue for me, I was on all sorts of meds and it adds to my GERD issues so I really do not like dealing with it. Mine did get better for a while post op but more recently came back....not as bad as b4, but annoying none the less....

I had to go to the ER for some really intense pain this summer and I was instructed to take antihistamines when taking the pain meds....I was so out of it in pain I did not ask y ...but I found I slept better with the reg  antihistamines at bedtime and it is helping with the PND too .I also have non drowsey formula for during the day....but only take those when taking the stronger pain meds,...but continue with the bedtime dose as I am sleeping so much better.
