It can come and go...have u started a new med recently?...or did u take an OTC pain med this week?....they can have this as a side effect.

Increased ICP can also add to buzzing, humming and the ringing sound in the ears...

Do let ur Dr know about this.

I've had the ringing, louder than ever, for the last week and a half, after doing a very difficult arobics class (that I was prob not ready for). I don't have too many other symptoms and I am really hoping that I have not started something by overdoing it!!! Does the ringing eventually subside?

Hi, this is very common with chiarians it is known as tinnitus. I have it with out the activity... but the strain of the pressure of the added flow of blood going thru all the veins  adds to the pressure we already have. When u have a constriction, and u add pressure u will get a sound...like blowing up a balloon and holding the opening tight, but just enuff to allow the air out...it makes a high pitch noise...that is my analogy.

Many OTC and RX pain meds add to this problem...so look at side effects of ur meds too.
