Shakes

I don't know if I posted this question before. Forgive me if I did I am so forgetful lately. Does anyone else shake uncontrollably when they get cold . This only happens on my left side ,which is the side I notice getting weaker all the time .I don't know if this is related to chiari or me just being strange.. I was also wondering if anyone else has problems choking on air. I can be sitting on the couch watching television and just start chocking on air which is kind of creepy. I also noticed I can feel like my throat is tight when I am eating and try to swallow. I go to my N/S on Mon about my neck to talk about my ruptured cervical disc and will make sure I let him know about the shaking and chocking.. I will also see another N/S on Feb 12 about my cerebral aneurysm , which I finally found out settled into my optical nerve area of the brain. The only person giving me any kind of answers is my pcp. I talked to him and said if I don't soon get some straight answers he would help me get a referral to a dr in Pittsburgh at UPMC.

I get shaky from the cold as well...not the normal shivers, but like a tremor, and it can even happen from quickly running out to warm up the car on the cold mornings.  It doesn't last very long.
My jaw and right arm get this type of tremor sometimes, especially if I am stressed.  I don't know if the jaw problem is just from muscle weakness in my neck & head as a result of the surgery, but it never used to happen before that.

I have three vertebrae fused, another tilting and a disk bulging.  I often cough, choke, and feel like I can't finish a sentence because I'm out of air.  I know how you feel... it can be frightening.  As far as the shaking goes, that has happened to me 2 or 3 times at the PT's.  it's almost like a nerve overload feeling.  After working on my back, neck, and head with massage, I'll shake uncontrollably in my legs.  She stops her work immediately.

Are you breathing, then gasp for air?  That was happening to me for awhile; also it felt like it was difficult to breathe lying down, like there was a 20 lb. cat on my chest.  (I know what that feels like!).

The neck tightness & swallowing difficulty is very common.

Aren't we all "strange"?  :-)
