Surgery to repair leak tomorrow's

I'm  heading back into surgery tomorrow to repair, /replace dura patch.  My first surgery was 9/24 -  6 weeks ago.  I started leaking, 3 weeks post op,  stitching twice and lumbar drain for, 5 days did not correct it so back into OR tomorrow.  Would love comments from anyone who has experienced this and what I might expect from this surgery compared to the first one.  Thanks so much!!!   June

I agree, EDS is very mean and nasty!! My synthetic patch was the continued problem and even on the 4th time he opened my head, it was still the bovine scraps causing leaks!  I am  hoping things are working this time for me.  I did find that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th surgery the incision and neck healed quicker but that was me.  They said since there was no bone removal there would be less pain.  It was still not easy but I do think  a bit better.  Good luck and I hope they can fix it this time around!! Hugs and support to you!!!! -zygy
