As Selma said the location of your Syrinx is important. A Syrinx damages the spinal cord from the inside out as it expands. Your spinal cord is like a highway taking messages to and from muscles around the body, as the nerve pathways are damaged it causes disruption to to these muscles resulting in numbness, tingling, pain and eventually motor function.
For example your incontinence could be due to A Syrinx, the Bladder & Bowel are controlled by a muscle called a sphincter muscle witch maintains constriction of these organs, messages from the brain tell it to open & close, if the messages are disrupted then the sphincter muscle will not work normally. The same applies to sensory nerves. They send messages when we touch something, if the pathway is disrupted the brain cannot process the info it gets.
Treatment for a Syrinx should be based on what is causing the Syrinx formation, Decompression surgery if there is a CSF obstruction due to Chiari Malformation or spinal Tumors compressing the spinal cord. Some can be congenital or Idiopathic (unknown cause) and treatment for this could involve inserting a shunt to drain the Syrinx.

Hi...I do not have a syrinx, but it is possible that u may have another related condition to syringomyelia and chiari that is causing some of the issues u feel to be or seem to be less common....
Have ur drs ruled out tethered cord?...Ehlers-danlos?...these in addition to ur syrinx can account for ur issues being different, that in addition to the fact we r all diff and will experience the same condition differently.
Of course where ur syrinx is plays an even larger role as to what symptoms u will have.
