Uncontrollable shivering!

I woked up after 1 hour or so after going to bed. Shivering uncontrollably, with teeth chatering. I'm not more cold than usualy! My heart was racing and my blood pressure was 136/70 while lying down. The shivering stopped about 30 minutes after I was up.

I am wondering if uncontrolable shivering / shaking can be related to Chiari. Did this happend to anyone else?

  Take along the links from the EDS group...educate them....they need to know it is sooooooo much more.

I hope to! I mean even the NS that takes care of Chiari in my province does not believe in EDS! He says it's only a skin condition.

I do have symptomes of POTS. I didn't know it could cause that. I will tell my doctor next time I have an appointment.

  Hi...sorry this is happening....it may be part of the healing process u r dealing with...as some nerves come back to life nething like this can happen.....

Keeping track of ur BP is a good idea, as I know my BP and my temp were always low...still tend to be on the low side....

POTS is something to look into since it seems to be positional

I have had this often.  Mostly though, I alternate between being very hot & very cold.  I'm rarely comfortable.
I have standing up symptoms that are different from lying down symptoms.

I dont find BP readings particularly accurate, because the body works very hard to keep it from dropping too low.  You might want to note the pulse readings if you can.

I have had this many times and i put it down to either a nightmare and waking up in a panicked state or just a panic attack. Either way i don't enjoy lol
