Update on Elizabeth

Happy Thanksgiving!  Just got off the phone with Beth and she is now out of ICU and has been moved to a regular room.  She said she had a pretty sleepness night though - I think they have stopped her liquid pain (morphine?) meds so at least she is coming out of her medication haze.  She is up and walking (read that 'shuffling') around a bit, and they had her sitting in the chair.  If things continue to progress she will be out of the hospital on Friday or Saturday.
She had a lot of wonderful things to say about the facility and the nursing staff - they must be taking good care of her!
She also sent me a cell phone pic of her head - looks like the scar is about 3 inches (less than she thought) right up the base of her neck with either staples or stitches, I can't tell.
Hope you all have a good holiday, and she will be in touch soon I am sure.
