Vision issues post surgery?

I am 4 weeks post surgery and ever since the surgery I have some vision issues.
Nothing major just having to strain more to see clearly, blurry vision with increased pain?
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this post-op symptoms?

@ actress - that's EXACTLY what it is for me! I remember the day of surgery, I was a few hours out of surgery when my parents came up to see me. My dad was wearing a shirt with some writing on it and I couldn't tell what it said. It wasn't small print and my dad is not a really small man either. That's when I first noticed it. It's not as bad now but it's not back to normal either!
@Selma - I'm not looking for something more as far as medical advice above what I got from my dr. I just wonder if someone else has had the same symptoms.

@ tink....I'm with you...7 weeks post-op today.  Vision is improving...but slowly.  I had a heck of a time focusing on text immediately after surgery.  I was told to be patient and that the swelling has a lot to do with the blurriness right after surgery.  I had/have prisms in my reading glasses (a pre-surgical necessity) and they help for the close up stuff, but sometimes when I'm really tired (and like I said before, right after surgery) the far away vision is blurry, too.  Hang in there....we can do this!!

I was told it can take up to 2 yrs for the nerves to heal, those of us with EDS it may take longer...we r all diff so we can not use timetables but it is a rough est.....as for inflammation I would expect that is the same too....

Ur Dr gave u some advice, but seems u r looking for something more?

My NS suggested me waiting for 3-6 months post surgery before seeing anyone for my eyes because it could be from the swelling of the surgery.
It isn't as bad as it was right after surgery but I still am straining to see things I wasnt before.
I see my NS on 20th so hopefully I'll get some more answers...
Thanks for the response!

Hi,...I still have flare ups of vision issues and it was something I had b4 surgery....so much so I took audio books to the hospital to listen to instead of reading material.

It did get better with time, as I said I do get flares from time to time....depending on how ur vision is affected u may want to see a neuro optho,....get a good eye exam....
