It is possible it is nothing much to worry about..the foci...sometimes it can indicate headaches.....
I am sure your Dr will explain all of this to you......sorry I can not offer more insight.
The sentence is: few scattered 1mm foci of T2 prolongation bilateral supratentorial white matter.
Thank you very much, i will travel anywhere. Thank you
I am not a medical professional....just another person with Chiari like yourself....I went to NY to have a Dr see me and review my case and then decided to use that Dr for my surgery.
There is a list of Drs for FL. but it is not a referral nor and endorsement for those on the list...you need to research them to find the right Dr for you.
And keep in mind you may have to travel.

As for the scattered foci...can you give the entire sentence it is in....as I am sure there is more to it then just scattered foci. Does it mention white matter?
I leave in florida in lake county area, the question is that I will like to know what is scattered fosi.
I have change my doctors several time and suffer for ceonic pain since my 17 and every year is more and more pain is from my fingers true muy head. I have 4 kids and because of them I stand up every morning but somethimes I think I will not be able to stand up. Thank you very much gor your answer. Where is your office located?
Can you re word your question...not sure what it is.....
May I ask where you live...what area?
GERD and reflux are related conditions to Chiari....and even joint pain is common as many of us have a related condition called Ehlers-Danlos.
There is more testing you will want to be sure you have....starting with a full spine MRI to rule out a syrinx and a CINE MRI to see if you have a CSF obstruction.
A syrinx can also cause pain and even the absence of pain when you would expect pain.....
I do not think you have bad luck, I think it is that there are too few Drs well informed and experienced with Chiari and related conditions.
I just get out from my neurologist and he said I'm ok beside I have hepilepsy and That came out on my mri he said I'm ok? I'm now making a second opinion appt. Hi and welcome to MedHelp.
Cerebral tonsillar ectopia...is sometimes called Chiari Malformation....the herniation of the cerebral tonsils can be acquired....or congenital.
You will want more testing done, as it is possible to have more then this one condition as it often is accompanied by other related conditions.....
There are many of us that have this condition....may I ask what symptoms you have been having?
