Who should I see in Florida?

I just left the neurologist's office and wasn't surprised. However, I'm not sure where to go. My MRI states Chiari Malformation I with the cerebellar tonsils projecting 0.8cm below the level of the foramen magnum. There is crowding of structures at the level of the foramen magnum. No cervical medullary linking, hydrocephalus or upper cervical cord intramedullary signal is identified.

He said my results were perfectly normal and that the pressure and migraines are not coming from this because it's way to small. He said no neurosurgeon would touch this because it's way too small.

I have pressure in my ears and head almost all of the time now and suffer from daily headaches.

I'm feeling like a hypochondriac and feel as though my husband would agree.

When I looked up Chiari Specialists, there is no such thing. So where do I go? What do I do now? Should I even bother?

Any help appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum,
There are a few Drs in your state, you will have to research them to determine which one is right for you....so before you research you will want to educate yoourself as much as possible on Chiari and comorbid conditions.
I do not know where in FL you are , but there is one Dr  Down in Miami and one Near Orlando.....
That are not many Drs that are well informed OR experienced with Chiari , so it can be very difficult to locate a Dr.Many travel out of state.
Let me know if you want the names of these two Drs  and I will post them for you to research.

Yes, please. I'm close to Orlando. Thank you so very much!
I am sorry to let you know, the Dr with the office near Orlando closed his office.....but I will include the other two, one is in Miami....anad the other in Tampa. Please note , listing these names is not a referral NOR an endorsement, it is just a starting point for you to research the Drs, this list was compiled by the members here of Drs they have been to, treated by and liked....it is up to you to decide which Dr is best for you.
