... you go to the ER and the Doctor informs you that your chart looks like a medical experiment. They offer you no help or direction just send you to another hospital. Then you that Chiari is in your head and your chart.
Here's a few for me:
The thought of taking a shower is too much work.
You get electrocuted in a public pool and your first thought is "what is going wrong with my body now" instead of "I need to get out of this pool" yes, this actually happened :)
Always hearing, "well, you look good!"
Your showing people pictures of your brain instead of grandchildren, pets, children, ect.
When you cough or sneeze and see a fire works show in your head......followed by a headache.
I just saw a pic on Pinterest that said "you know you have a chronic illness when you have to give yourself a pep talk just to get off the couch to get a drink" lol so true
You know you have Chiari when you're actually really happy that a part of your body (ex. Fingers, hand, leg, feet etc) finally goes numb because that's the only way you won't feel any pain in that particular place.
I remember one day I was driving and my legs were in excruciating pain and I just kept praying to God "please help me, please just ease the pain even a little bit and I'll be happy" and a few minutes later they went numb. Idk if driving with numb legs was good but I made it home and got to lay down!
Yes, it's getting very close isn't it? I imagine you're all so excited! Grand babies are amazing!
I'm doing as good as I can be, now diagnosed with too much csf on the brain and am on diamox.... I prob should start a new thread so as not to take away from this one. I love this thread
You know you have chiari when your medical costs outweigh your car payment!
I am doing well...tired and sore as I am over doing it getting ready for my daughter's baby shower...and loving it all....lol...How have you been,
Exactly....thanks for posting to this thread : )
Hey Selma, how've you been?
How bout when you see more Drs than you do most of your own family!
I am hoping we can get members to reply to this thread.....
Even when the MRI indicates Chiari, your Dr says your symptoms can't be due to that......sigh
