Selma, I will keep your comment about the sprinx in mind, expecially if nothing changes in two weeks. That will be my first question!!! Thanks!
Thanks everyone! My GP just put me on anxiety drugs for a trial two weeks to see if I am causing all of this myself. I think it is a good plan, as I know I worry and scare myself way too much!! I don't know how any of you can live with this and handle it! Seriously! I was almost afraid to read your answers, so that's why I haven't been on here.
My symtoms, regarding the aching, are exactly as Sexybare explained. The left ear and facial numbness/tingling was my first symptom that led me to a neurologist. I am usually good in the morning, and as the day goes on, I am either simply tired (which could be the anxiety), or I feel pressure in my head that makes me need rest -- and the rest does help! It's sad that may 78 year old mother can go longer than me...well, good for her I guess!
I will let you know how this two week trial goes. Thanks again, Heather
Hi...u mentioned ur Chiari has not changed and u also had a cervical MRI.....what about a thoracic and lumbar MRI?
U need to rule out tethered cord and a syrinx as they can form ne where in the spine not just the cervical spine....and way too many Drs only check the cervical spine for a syrinx.
i have the same feeling of the achyness. its in my back, neck, shoulderblades, left arm and chect. its tolerable but dang annoying and very uncomfortable.
Well i do have progressive pain in my legs...its gotten even worse after surgery.i have constant ear,jaw pain and ha...if ur symptoms progress talk to ur nl...just because herniation is not growing doesnt mean ur symptoms remain the same ;(( and 17mm is quite a bit...i do wish u the best.did they check if ur csf flow is blocked by ur hernia?
It's interesting to me when you mention the numbness in the arms. While on my journey of being dx'd they told me I had carpaltunnel in my right arm. I wonder if this is Chairi related. I 'm beginning to think it is. Aslo was dx'd with TMJ. They explained to me that we have a muscle that is connected to our eyes that run down the back of our ears and down in the neck area. It all makes sense and I'm sure this is what is causing this pain, I wish you the best. It's nice to see your MRI hasn't changed, but has your symptoms?
