I had all that done and it was in getting a ultra sound of my carotid arteries that they saw I had nodules on my thyroid....and the chest xray showed a deformity there too....nothing to prevent surgery tho.

I had Dr I at TCI....Dr B is very nice as I spoke with him too....

Hi yes, we all seem to have low vit D...and it is the use of sun screens and many other reasons...but the phosphorous levels that is related to calcium and kidney issues,,,the kidneys remove the calcium from the bone and add it to the blood.,this  leaves the bones brittle, weak, painful and easily broken.
So u will have to avoid certain high phosphorous foods, like milk and milk products and nuts....and the Dr may give u a binding med to help u balance out the levels....diet will be key and watching ur intake of foods that do have phosphorous.
Below is a list of basic foods to avoid, get a more complete list from ur Dr.
· nuts and grain seeds
such as sunflower or
sesame
· wholegrain, dark rye
and pumpernickel breads
· legumes and lentils
· organ meats
· chocolates and cocoa
· cola drinks
· beer
