brain MRI?

Update, I saw the NS yesterday and he is setting me up for surgery in 3 wks or so. Will let you all know the date when I find out, he is trying to fit me in. He had me go down for a brain MRI w/wo contrast to make sure nothing else was going on that he is not aware of before surgery. He said he thought everythg was fine but needs to be sure. So, my question is: Is this the same thing as a CINE MRI? Will it show the spinal flow, blockage, etc?

Oh and it is also done in 2 parts...forgot to mention that, the first part is like a normal MRI, then u come out, stay laying down and they add the contrast and the clip to ur finger...and u go back in...that is how mine was done...some use leads instead of the finger clip, but is for the same thing to monitor BP.

A brain MRI w/wo contrast does not make it a CINE....a MRI takes still pictures...a CINE takes a real time movie to show the flow.....to see if it pulsates, u would wear a clip on ur finger to monitor ur BP.....

U may want to ask, but not all NS's do the CINE.....
