csf leak headache

How do I know?

I wake up daily with a HA. Today is no different. Except it feels worse upon standing and I'm nauseuous & dizzy/weak. Must lie back down immediately. Normally it feels better when I'm up and about.

(had lumbar puncture yesterday). Afraid to get out of bed now, almost passed out in shower. Supposed to travel, 5 yr old crying in disappointment. I hate this ...

  Not sure how u can consider urself a loser or feel  like one, u have a CSF leak,....u can not predict these.....

Home, bed rest x 3 days. Blood patch if severity doesn't ease up after third day if bed rest.

Yes, just going to bathroom us almost impossible. Headed to er after sitter picks hi up.

  So sorry...but it can very well be a leak, even with out the swelling...not all puddle so u can see it....it depends on the size and location of the leak.

I had a leak and never had a collection site.

But I could not be upright at all....it was horrible just getting up to use the restroom....laying flat to eat...staying in the dark.

Mine did resolve after 5 days of laying flat....and keeping hydrated.

You had a LP yesterday.  I do know for me any way while laying down the headaches subsided, but when standing the headache would come on right away.  I had 2 CSF leaks, so I understand somewhat what your going through.  Do you have any fluid building up in the back of your head?  Mine felt like a balloon filling up?  I was also told not to lay completely flat because then it would accomulate in the head.  I know every one is different, but this is what I was told.  If it is a leak which standing up and getting a HA instantly usually indicates this, but I would call your NS and tell him what is going on just to be safe.  Best of luck.
